The shipment

What actually leaves Bosaso

Thirty-eight years of shipping the same three commodities out of the same two ports teaches you where consignments go wrong: at the pallet, at the paperwork, and at the moment nobody can say which tree a drum came from.

20' dry container
Approximately 12–14 t in 25 kg bags, palletised and shrink-wrapped.
40' dry container
Approximately 24–26 t, mixed species and grades possible within one load.
LCL / groupage
From one pallet — roughly 500 kg — consolidated via Salalah or Jebel Ali.
Air freight
Samples and urgent lots up to 500 kg, five to seven days door to door.
Ports of loading
Bosaso and Berbera, with weekly feeder services onward to all main EU ports.
Transit to Europe
Typically 28–35 days to Rotterdam or Hamburg. Documentation is issued ahead of arrival, not chased after it.

Every sack carries its own paperwork

Traceability is not a promise on a website — it is a label a warehouse operative can read and a buyer can photograph on arrival. Species, grade, lot number, harvest window, net weight and origin are printed on every sack before it leaves Bosaso, alongside a code that resolves to the same lot dossier we hold.

Cal Madow is the limestone mountain range that runs along the northern coast; Sanaag and Bari are the administrative regions it crosses. This carterii lot was collected on the Sanaag side of that range, which is why the label reads Cal Madow and the product page reads Cal Madow range, Sanaag. They describe the same place at two levels of precision.

Field values photographed from a shipped lot. The same reference appears on the commercial invoice, the packing list and the certificate of origin.
